Robson Moura
Oversees class curriculum and conducts periodic seminars. Robson also tests each student for belt requirements. Robson “Robinho” Moura has been winning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions and titles since he was 13 years old. With an excellent martial philosophy, hard working style and love of the game, he is among the greatest of the world's jiu-jitsu players. The sport history of this 'Carioca' begins in 1988 at the age of 10 when he started training Jiu Jitsu in his hometown of Teresopolis (a small town in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
His first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teacher was Jucao. Robinho was supported and encouraged by his family, especially his father. Robhino quickly grew his skills, becoming a champion of many competions, and collecting a number of regional titles. When his instructor Jucao moved to Rio, Robson started training under Master Andre Pederneiras and Wendel from the elite team Nova Uniao.
He continued to grow his skills and abilities, achieving national and international titles, becoming very well respected and esteemed. He is considered to have a very proficient and competitive way of fighting. By 18 Robson had achieved his greatest dream by becoming a Black Belt and today his is one of the most valued players in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Sensei Bill "Bomba" Bartlett
Sensei Bill "Bomba" Bartlett has been training in mixed martial arts for over 20 years. A black belt in Kenpo karate under Mark Sanchez, he earned a brown belt under Shihan Chuck Roth at the Ocala Judo Club in 1999 and began his studies in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2003 under Professor Marcio Simas.
He earned his blue blue belt in 2006 under the legendary Royce Gracie and maintains a Purple belt under III degree black belt Master Dustin "Clean" Denes.
In October of 2004 he founded the Ocala Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, he continues his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and mixed martial arts as head instructor. Some of his accomplishments include being named North American Grappling Association's Instructor of the Year, 2007. He has produced top MMA fighters, and multiple grappling champions.
Matt "Mongoose" Bartlett
Matt "Mongoose" Bartlett began training in martial arts at age 5 and currently holds a blue belt in BJJ. A black belt in Kenpo Karate under Mark Sanchez, Matt holds a green belt in Kodokan Judo under Shihan Chuck Roth.
A passionate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter, student, and instructor and veteran competitor on the world grappling circuit, "Mongoose" began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2003 under Professor Marcio Simas. He currently ranks #1 in the country for his age division and is a 60 time NAGA champion, placing top three in hundreds of various GI and no GI competitions nation wide.
He ranked top 8 out of 94 competitors in his weight class during the 2010 IBJJF Worlds in Long Beach, CA. and continues his journey in mixed martial arts as a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor under Sensei Bill Bartlett.
Lucas Holland
Lucas Holland has been training in mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for 9 years. A veteran competitor and 2007 COPA champion, Lucas ranked 3rd in his division in both GI and no GI. He earned his blue belt under Sensei Bill Bartlett and Jon Burke in 2008 and began his training in Kodokan Judo under Mark Sanchez in 2002. Known for his flexibility and dominating ground game, Lucas has dedicated himself to the study of various martial arts
including Kempo Karate, Catch Wrestling and warrior Yoga. He continues his journey in mixed martial arts under Sensei Bill Bartlett as a dedicated instructor and vicious BJJ
competitor.
Joshua "Jag" Garcia
A former United States Marine, Jag has been training in mixed martial arts for over twenty years and currently holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He began his
training in Kyokushin Karate and Freestyle wrestling in 1992.
He wrestled for 10 years earning three junior region and district 7 titles with a consecutive three year honorable mention all NBIL selection from 1996-1999. He won
various championships and honors in his region including Clarion University's NCAA team camps and various USA wrestling summer freestyle championships.
Jag began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2007 under Professor Jerry Moreno and earned his blue belt in 2008 under Rodrigo Greno and Professor Marcio Cruz.
He currently ranks in ITF Taekwon-Do and continues his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Sensei Bill Bartlett, and is the Wrestling Instructor for Ocala BJJ.
Sabum Jose Luis Zapata
Mr. Zapata has been training in martial arts for over 25 years. A 5th DAN in ITF Taekwon-Do, he began his training in full contact Kickboxing and Wing Chun Kung Fu in 1984 in Lara, Venezuela.
A certified international instructor, Mr. Zapatas was a Venezuelan national kickboxing champion from 1989-1993. He earned his 1st through 3rd Dan under the legendary General Choi Hong Hi. He earned his 4th and 5th Dans from 2004-2008 under Senior Master Paek Rim in North Korea.
A certified arbitrator and Kickboxing instructor for The International Taekwon-Federation, Mr. Zapata has traveled to over 30 nations in Europe, South America, and the former Soviet Union teaching and certifying in the striking arts.
In 1996 he founded the Lara ITF Kickboxing Academy in Lara, Venezuela before relocating to the United States in 2010.
Today, he continues his teaching as the Striking Instructor at Ocala Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy under Sensei Bill Bartlett.
